You may not be aware, but the Eastern Sierras has a network of public transit options to help you explore. The routes are limited and may be impacted by weather so make sure you get ahold of these transit companies to help on your adventure.

Eastern Sierra Transit provides shuttle, bus and dial-a-ride services all up and down US 395 from Lancaster, CA to Reno Nevada

The Tahoe Transportation District has routes from Gardnerville and Carson City, NV to South Lake Tahoe and Truckee.
